Dusk is the point
Purple here is evening: a lake under violet cloud, dew that leans lilac, a butterfly bloom that goes plum. It is not a neon club light and it is not a default Android purple. If you open these files at noon in a white office they can look brown-grey. They look like the thumbnail in lamp light. Night Shift and True Tone will warm or retint the same JPEG again, so an evening file can look twice as brown after sunset.[1][2] We do not treat purple as a temperament; that is the color-psychology over-claim.[4]
The dusk lake is a lock-screen landscape. Keep the clock in the cloud. The water is too dark for a stack of white notification cards unless you like the cards floating in a well.
Lilac versus plum
Lilac and lavender sit in the haze and the lighter petals. Plum sits in the butterfly bloom and in the deepest cloud. People search both words. We do not split them into two starving pages with one image each. This page holds the range and the wallpaper notes say which end you are on.
If you want a purple that behaves like a solid, you will not find a flat lilac tile yet. Use the lighter dew flower and crop to the wash, or use pastel blue and accept it is not purple.
Pairing
Dusk lake locked, navy brushstroke at home. Dew flower locked, mint or cream at home if you want a cooler morning. Do not pair dusk purple with terracotta unless you like a bruised sunset on purpose.
Samsung-blue files are cooler and more “phone default.” If purple looked muddy on your panel, try the navy-to-sky brushstroke before you abandon dark colors.
Evening files in a morning job
I used the dusk lake as a work-phone lock screen for three days in an open office. It looked like a brown puddle. The same file at home under a lamp looked like the thumbnail. If your day is fluorescent, this page is a night collection. Use navy-to-sky or mint at the desk.
Lilac searchers who only want a flat tile will be underwhelmed. We do not have that tile. Crop the lighter dew wash or leave. Splitting lilac into its own URL with one image would be a doorway. We refuse that.
Plum bloom and dusk lake together is an all-evening phone. That can be beautiful and it can feel like you never left 9 p.m. Add a mint home screen if you need a morning reset without changing the lock screen.
