Two pinks, two jobs
Light pink on this site is the sakura wash: low contrast, good under icons, easy in an office. Hot pink is the bougainvillea: magenta and apricot on a white wall, hard sun, a lock-screen subject. If a page treated those as the same “pink color wallpaper,” it would be lying for search. We keep both and say which is which.
The wall in the bougainvillea file is empty on purpose. That is where a clock or a widget goes. If you slide the bloom into that space, you broke the file. Put the bloom lower or to the side.
Who these are for
Sakura wash: home screen, a phone you unlock at a desk, anyone who bounced off neon pink packs. Bougainvillea: a lock screen you actually look at, a tablet in a bright room, anyone who wanted “pink flowers” and not a gradient blob.
Neither file is a skin-tone statement and neither is a brand campaign. They are two ways light hits pigment. If you need a flatter pink solid, we do not have a dead hex yet; the sakura wash is the closest field.
Pairing and wear
Pair sakura with cream or mint if you want a whole-phone pastel. Pair bougainvillea with a tan or cream home screen so the white wall does not repeat behind icons. A white wall plus a white home screen is a lot of OLED bright field.
The bougainvillea is the file I would not leave on an OLED home screen for a year: a hard white wall is a static bright field.[2] The sakura wash is closer to a solid and is the gentler daily driver. The OLED note explains why. Pink as a “personality” is not a claim we make; hue-emotion shortcuts are easy to over-apply.[4]
What is not on this page yet
There is no hot-pink lightning gradient and no plastic “Barbie” slab. When we add more pink it will be another specific picture, not a recolor of these two. If you need a dozen interchangeable pink tiles, this is the wrong library.
Pink without a costume
A lot of pink wallpaper packs are a costume: glitter, script fonts, a single filter. These two files are light on a wall and pigment on paper. If that feels too plain, you wanted a different genre. We will not add glitter to chase that click.
The white wall in the bougainvillea is the reason the file works as a lock screen and the reason it is a bad OLED home screen. Both facts are true. Download it for the first job. Do not pretend the second job disappeared because the bloom is pretty.
If we publish a third pink it will be a new picture — maybe a dusk pink plaster, maybe a single petal on grey. It will not be the sakura file with the saturation slider up.
